In August 2020, AAOS members across the U.S. had the unique opportunity to serve as advocates in their own communities. During this month-long, first-of-its-kind event, orthopaedic surgeons engaged with members of Congress in their district and regional offices, as well as virtually to advocate for access to the very best orthopaedic care on behalf of their patients and the profession.

What We Advocated For
In addition to thanking legislators for their work on financial relief and telehealth flexibilities and reimbursement, as well as educating them about the forthcoming payment policy changes, we raised the following four issues as part of our In-District Advocacy Event.
