These grants are intended to support programs and events with a focus on retaining and supporting a diverse workforce in orthopaedic surgery in a private, remote setting or outside of an academic institution. 

• Peachtree Orthopedic Foundation - $8,000
  • This grant will provide scholarships to fund away rotations for fourth-year medical school students at Morehouse Medical School interested in applying for an orthopaedic residency program.
• Sabesan Orthopaedics Research Inc. - $14,000
  • The Mothers in Orthopedic Mentorship Society (MOMS) empowers and supports female residents and medical students who are mothers or aspire to become mothers and pursue careers in orthopaedic surgery. This grant will support an online platform for orthopedic surgeons, residents, and students to share advice on balancing motherhood and careers. MOMS provides targeted website resources to support female orthopedic surgeons. The initiative promotes work-life balance and career advancement by providing strategies and resources to manage career and family life effectively.
