These grants are intended to support programs and events with a focus on retaining and supporting a diverse workforce in orthopaedic surgery in a private, remote setting or outside of an academic institution. 

• Cedars-Sinai Medical Center - $10,000
  • The Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Scholars (CSOS) Program will provide local underrepresented minority high school students with early exposure to medicine and orthopaedic surgery through hands-on workshops featuring Cedars-Sinai under-represented minority faculty and residents. Inclusion and outreach efforts will be focused on Los Angeles Unified School District public high schools serving a wide range of communities. Students will be invited to participate in panel discussions, small groups, and hands-on sawbones labs at the Cedars-Sinai Main Campus.
