Pick up and wear member lapel pin

Look around you at the 2011 Annual Meeting. Notice anything different?

In addition to the badges and ribbons, many of the orthopaedic surgeons you’ll see will have a shiny new lapel pin—one that marks the wearer as a Fellow or International Affiliate of the AAOS.

Worn with pride, these new lapel pins are a way to convey to colleagues, patients, family, and friends that you’re a member of the premier orthopaedic organization in the world, one dedicated to providing the best in physician education and to improving patient care. It shows your commitment to learning and to doing the best for your patients.

Lapel pins are available free while supplies last. Get yours at the Resource Center Bookstore in the Sails Pavilion in Academy Hall or the International Office in Room 15B, Mezzanine Level.

And once you return home, visit the Academy’s Web site to download a copy of the special AAOS logo that you can use on your Web site, business card, or stationery. Although the logos have some restrictions on usage (which are described on the Web site), they are available free to members through an automated request online at
