How has the AAOS helped you during residency?
Attending the AAOS Annual Meeting has been an important networking event which has been helpful in my path to applying for fellowship. It was also a great opportunity to share my research to a wide audience. AAOS has supported teaching events which have allowed me to work with medical students. I have also been able to connect with other residents through the Resident Assembly Research Committee as well.

As a Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
ResStudy is without a doubt my most used resource to prepare for the OITE, Boards, and solidify my orthopaedic knowledge.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Always ask your educators why they are making every decision. Lots of medicine is dogma/personal preference and lots is evidence/experienced based. Finding out why you’re doing something expands your education and allows you to pick and choose how you will practice with justification,” Jason Souza, plastic surgeon.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
A cup of coffee and a two friends playlist

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
My nightly cuticle treatment to help fight the dryness from scrubbing.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Walks with my dog, hiking, yoga, Peloton, soccer.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I overnight a king cake from New Orleans every Mardi Gras and bring it to the resident room.
