How has the AAOS helped you during residency?
At this stage in my training, the educational resources from AAOS have been the biggest help.

As a Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I mostly use AAOS ResStudy and read the yellow journal review articles. ResStudy has been huge in preparing for the OITE every year and catching up on specialty-specific topics.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
The best advice I was ever given was from my dad. He told me to never give up and to never let anyone tell me I cannot do something.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I am most productive if I exercise first thing in the morning. It clears my head and lays the groundwork for my day. If I can’t exercise, I try to at least stretch a little and drink a giant cup of coffee.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I am currently working to make daily meditation more of a habit. My husband is a huge believer in its utility for anxiety reduction, and given the stress that we face as surgeons, I know it can be incredibly beneficial.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
In my free time, I love being outside and doing anything that gives me a shot of endorphins, be that running, working out, or skiing. I am trying to get better at surfing right now but it’s such a tough sport!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I was a 3-time division 1 all American in alpine skiing.
