Why did you join AAOS?
I joined AAOS to be a part of a great organization whose values are similar to my own.
- Leading to serve
- Shaping our future
- Excellence together
Do you currently volunteer with an AAOS committee? If yes, which one(s)?
Yes. I am an AAOS social media ambassador.
How do you define success?
I define success as setting a goal or a plan, preparing/taking steps for that goal and ultimately achieving that goal. Success can relate to small things or big things, but both are important!
Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My biggest inspiration is the drive and dedication of my sports patients. Their determination to be the best inspires me to elevate my craft to provide exemplary care and allow them to continue doing the things they love.
What do you love most about AAOS?
I love that AAOS brings together orthopedic surgeons from all specialties across the globe. At times we can become entrenched in our own specialty communities, but it is good to collaborate with the entire orthopedic community.
What advice would you give to new Members of AAOS?
Engage with your colleagues and volunteer for a committee. We need as many people as we can get who are dedicated to improving our community.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I considered playing basketball internationally rather than going to medical school.
