How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
For me, AAOS is a worldwide key platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences in the field of orthopaedics. It has inspired me to stay up-to-date and keep learning.
As an International Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I utilize a vast amount of resources from the Academy because in the fields of orthopaedic surgery and arthroscopic surgery it is vital to exchange and create synergies with other fellow researchers and surgeons.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My mother and father always told me to work hard and not lie. Dr. Bertram Zarins said to me “Never put an artificial cruciate ligament”.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I’m always trying to learn new techniques and the latest developments in my field, and constantly improve my methods to give patients the best results.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I’m trying to walk 10,000 steps every day to keep my body and my heart active.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I really enjoy watering my palm trees and treating footballers.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
When I was younger, I went to Barcelona to play football at Barça. Through football, I discovered my passion of treating footballers and sports medicine, so that was my inspiration to study medicine.
