How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has allowed me to participate in events and have access to first-hand information and journals.

As an International Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
The resources I use are mostly the JAAOS and OVT.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
Miguel Cabanela once told me there are no simple cases. Complications are around the corner, so be prepared.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Up to now, improving pre and postoperative care to achieve shorter hospital stays for patients.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Meditation for at least 15 minutes a day.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I really enjoy playing golf, and surfing.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
When I was young, I had a wrist fracture with minimum displacement and was immobilized with a long cast. As soon as the doctors cut the cast to the forearm, I went to play soccer and fell, resulting in an ulnar fracture. It was treated with K wires and new cast. My father made me continue doing school homework as usual, so I am almost ambidextrous.
