As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
ROCK, JAAOS, and the webinars are essential for me. They provide cutting-edge information and surgical techniques, allowing me to deliver the best possible care to my patients in Durango.
What's the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My best friend Juan Pablo, right before residency, gave me a gem: "Pay attention to your mentors, learn from every experience, be invested in your patients' well-being, and always reflect on your decisions." This has been my guiding principle.
What's your go-to productivity trick?
The Pomodoro Technique – keeps me focused and on track, whether I'm in the operating room or studying.
What's one thing you're currently trying to make a habit?
Setting aside dedicated time for reflection, it's essential for self-awareness and continuous growth as a surgeon.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I love music, long walks in the park, and good times with friends.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
Heavy metal is the soundtrack to my best work in the operating room. It gets the adrenaline flowing and helps me focus!
