Why did you join AAOS?
I joined AAOS because is the largest and most recognized orthopaedic community worldwide. I knew that being part of it would help me grow professionally. It is also a great way to meet and share with our peers.

How do you define success?
Success is that point of your life when you find yourself in peace, happy and completely satisfied with what you do, with what you have, and with the things that you still pursue. It is the point where you are grateful with your past self for being where you currently are.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My biggest inspiration is my family. My parents, who always taught me the importance of dedication, commitment, persistence, and humanity. My sister, with whom I share the most unconditional love and complicity. And my husband, who decided to team up and stay together with me through this journey. He is the one that cheers me up and reminds me that there are no limits to what I can achieve.

How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS helps me stay updated in my career, ensuring that I have the resources to improve my practice and the options available to provide to my patients. Moreover, it helps me be part of our orthopaedic community and gives me the possibility to interact with other members in a more direct way.

What advice would you give to new members of AAOS?
I would suggest they take advantage of all the incredible benefits and opportunities that the AAOS provides.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I used to be the lead female vocalist for a Latin music band in Colombia. I enjoyed every single moment of it, from rehearsal to the stage.
