As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
The Orthopaedic Video Theater is my absolute favourite feature. Prior to a case, I always use the Video Center as reference to help me visualize what I need to do the night before. Reminding myself of technique and following along doing a little puppetry with my instruments as I listen in.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
Celebrate your small wins. As a woman in a male-dominated field, it's easy to get imposter syndrome. A consultant of mine told me to get a book and write down all my victories and use them as a reference of my capabilities during more difficult times

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
5 minutes off, 50 minutes on. Taking short breaks while in the heart of studying helps me lock in to my tasks better.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Reducing my negative self talk... I need to make a habit of being my biggest cheerleader and staying positive.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I make going to the gym a habit. It not only keeps me strong in a field that requires a lot of strength, but is my "me time" and a great emotional and mental escape. I also really enjoy re-grounding myself by having lunch with a friend. It reminds me of how important connection is, and not just my career.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
Every year I pick a new colour or theme for my stationery ... this year it's checkered!
