As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
The AAOS offers a platform that enables orthopaedic surgeons from around the globe to connect, share ideas, and gain knowledge from one another. Becoming a member of the AAOS provides access to a network of international surgeons, valuable educational materials, and funding prospects for research. This ensures that individuals can remain updated on the latest developments in orthopaedics and actively contribute to the advancement of orthopaedic surgery through their research efforts.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
One of my mentors has always stressed that the patient is the priority as he is venerable and entrusted us with his life, and in order to ensure that we have to give our best effort to fulfill the patient's needs, which might affect our personal life that’s why he always advised to find the balance between my professional and personal life as it is crucial for a long-term well-being. By prioritizing self-care, practicing effective communication, and cultivating meaningful relationships, we can provide exceptional patient care while enjoying a fulfilling life outside of work.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Usually, I focused on my patient and giving them the best care I can provide, saying that what keeps me happy and productive, is seeing my patient happy and satisfied with the care I give them. Also, I am really lucky to have a good family support system from my wife and my parents.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Trying to exercise more and have a healthy lifestyle.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, and getting to know their culture.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I always try to prank my friends and family, although they do not enjoy it all the time and sometimes they think it’s a bit too much, but at the end of the day, we all laugh about the jokes and pranks I make.
