How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
Access to JAAOS and CORR has been a game-changer for my studies. The AAOS website review articles are also great for mastering concepts. I listen to the JAAOS Unplugged podcast regularly as well.
As an International Resident Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I use the ROCK curriculum regularly and OKU primarily for my studies. I watch videos on OVT during my pre-op planning and they’ve been super helpful!
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
Trust but verify. In fact, double-check everything! - Issadig Rhoma (my former senior resident).
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I try to keep a personal compendium of operative tips and tricks for various Orthopaedic conditions as well as prevailing evidence backing decisions on my Notability app and I refer to it frequently during my pre-op planning.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Practicing mindfulness and also learning to spot and say no to distractions.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Traveling, sampling old musical records, playing the piano, painting with my wife, and reading memoirs of remarkable individuals.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I write songs when I’m really in the zone and also reharmonize some oldies for my own personal archives.
