How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has been instrumental to me in providing tools for studying, preparing for cases, and finding job opportunities.
As a Fellowship Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I used ResStudy every day, and I have started using the ROCK curriculum to dive into topics I need to review. I also use the AAOS Orthopaedic Video Theater for case preparation. Recently I’ve started using the ACCELERATE job search platform to help start my job search for after fellowship.
I am also using the AAOS Board Review Course for my board prep (it has been awesome!)
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
“Comparison is the thief of joy” - Teddy Roosevelt (via my husband, who reminds me of this frequently)
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Wake up early. I try to fit in a quick workout and review questions before going to work. In residency, you never know when you’ll be done for the day but you always have protected time in the morning.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Trying to be more present/ mindful each day.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Running, pilates, live music, exploring the amazing food scene in Brooklyn with my husband
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I love to knit! Since I was a kid it has been a great way to create, improve my dexterity, and relieve stress
