How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS has provided me with many resources to connect with many more senior clinicians who have now become lifelong mentors. It has also afforded me the opportunity to connect with medical students and residents, which has allowed me to provide them with guidance and advice.
As a Candidate Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I love the Yellow Journal and have been reading it since I was a resident. It's a great way to keep up to date and learn more about topics outside of my primary scope of practice.
What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
"You can achieve anything you want in life. The only person that will stand in your way is you". This piece of advice was from my father.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I try to get up before my family does, listen to some music (with headphones of course!) and do clinical work and research. It allows me to get a head start on the day.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Try to set up at least one activity for the whole family per week. With the busy schedules of both my wife and I, it's easy to get in a routine and not take time to get the whole family together.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I love to get on the Peloton. It allows me to get some exercise in and take a moment to myself for the day.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I was born in Italy and speak 4 languages.
