How has AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS helped me early in my career with excellent educational resources like ResStudy and JAAOS. The board review course before part 2 was exceptional! It also brings together so many great orthopedic surgeons from diverse specialties through networking opportunities.

Which AAOS resources do you use the most and why?
JAAOS, Orthopaedic Video Theater, and Resident Orthopaedic Core Knowledge to guide curriculum for our fellows and residents.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
Romans 8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I have a very extensive and organized to-do list in Excel that I follow. My nurse also sends me an email with tests to review and action items. Having a great team is invaluable!

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Starting each day with a devotional and intentional time with God.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Spending time outside with my husband and kids, either on the water slalom skiing or out in the country riding horses.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know.
I have a bareboat captain’s license and love to see new places by sailing.
