Why did you join AAOS?
I wanted to be part of an organization whose goals, and members' ambitions, are aligned with my own.
How do you define success?
I believe in the Aristotelian definition of success, in that success is rooted in the active use of one's virtues and the greatest virtues are those which are most useful to others.
Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My three children. They are happy and pure and eternal optimists.
How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS helps me stay informed about advances in orthopaedic surgery and has enabled to meet and stay connected with great minds in my field.
What advice would you give to new members of AAOS?
If there is something you want out of your career, surround yourself with people where your desired outcome is the norm.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I grew up racing dirt bikes and competing in surf competitions.
