How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
The AAOS has given me countless recourses and access to current trends in the MSK medicine specialty.

As an Affiliated Professional Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I frequently access AAOS Now and Quality Practice Guidelines. I also enjoy reading applicable articles in JAAOS. I like to always be out in front of the competition and I enjoy being able to explain the “why” during the treatment plan discussions. These resources give me the knowledge to educate my patients in this manner.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
The best advice I was ever given (from a seasoned physician): Patients will only remember 15% of what you’ll tell them, but they’ll remember 100% of the way you made them feel.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I follow the 80/20 rule. I prioritize the top 20% of factors that yield my best results from maximum time value.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Waking up at 6 AM to exercise.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy duck hunting and adventures with my little family.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I am also the Dean of The Clinical Training Institute, specializing in training midlevels in the field of orthopaedics and the skills required thereof.
