As an Allied member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I use the online learning tools regularly. The Orthopedic Video Theater, webinars, and CME resources help keep me current. The OrthoInfo site provides accurate information for my patients, and I send links to specific topics as applicable. Patients appreciate seeing the information from a national organization.
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Dragon dictation has made charting easier and faster. Pre-charting and making schedule comments with instructions for the staff to follow helps my day flow smoothly.
What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I am trying to put down my phone when I get home from work. It is hard to do! I’m also making an effort to socialize more at work instead of being only focused on the day. I work with a great team and enjoy the moments we catch up on one another’s lives.
What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, and attending concerts, sporting events, and theater productions.
