How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS helps me stay updated with the latest studies and research in my field. It also allows me to connect with colleagues and advocate for the best interests of patients. I find AAOS meetings very interesting, and I make it a point to attend to stay updated. These meetings also provide a great opportunity to meet colleagues and mentors, which I look forward to.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
To “be yourself”, follow your passion, and pursue what brings you happiness. This was the advice given by my father

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

One of my productivity strategies is to prioritize and organize my surgical cases based on complexity and urgency. By carefully planning my schedule and grouping similar cases together, I can maximize my efficiency in the operating room. Additionally, I make sure to delegate tasks to my team members effectively, which allows me to focus on the most critical aspects of each surgery. Regularly reviewing and updating patient charts and treatment plans also helps me stay on track and ensure each patient receives the best possible care.

As an Affiliate Orthopaedic Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
I routinely rely on the AAOS clinical practice guidelines to guide my decision-making process and ensure that I provide the best possible care to my patients. Also, I make it a point to attend the AAOS annual meeting every year to stay up to date with the latest techniques and technologies. I find the orthopedic video theater particularly helpful for learning new surgical techniques and approaches.

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I have seen and heard about many benefits of practicing yoga daily. I am trying to make a habit of practicing yoga every day for a few minutes. Although I may not be consistent at this time, I am doing my best to make it a habit.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like playing board games, biking, and hiking with my two sons and wife.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
When I was a kid, I always wanted to become a police officer.  If I had not been an orthopedic surgeon, I would have been a police officer in the Indian Police Service.
