How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
One time or another over more than 30 years, I have benefitted from many if not all of AAOS resources from the variety of educational resources from ABOS Board preparation to CME; Career Center and Coding/Practice Management resources; attending the Annual Meeting; reading and reviewing articles in the various publications available on the website.

As an Active Fellow Member, which AAOS resources do you use most and why?
AAOS provides the opportunity to network with colleagues both nationally and internationally and provides tools to learn to adapt to the changing landscape of the healthcare environment.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
My mom told me early on “You can do anything you set your mind to.”   I was hooked on orthopaedics when I scrubbed on my first fracture.  It has been and continues to be a very fulfilling career,

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I get up early, make my bed (per Admiral McRaven), hit the gym and have breakfast.  I am ready for the day!

What’s one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
Stop multitasking, practice gratitude daily, and breathe.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your spare time?
Hiking, snow skiing, weight lifting, yoga, sculling.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
I love to waltz.
