Why did you join AAOS?
To be part of an organization that allows me to interact with my professional peers, and to continue my growth as an orthopaedic surgeon to allow me to provide the best care for my patients.
Do you currently volunteer with a committee? If yes, which one(s)?
I currently do not, however I am actively involved in the AAOS leadership institute program and in the process of applying for open committee positions.
How do you define success?
To me success is a peace of mind, which results from gratification of knowing you did everything in your power to become the best person you can while making a positive difference in the world around you.
Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
I find inspiration from many people. I would have to say that the person who has most greatly inspired me has been my mother. She always has a smile on her face no matter how hard she works, and she loves everyone. She is well respected by all who know her and always gives more than she receives. I try to live like her as much as I can.
What do you love most about AAOS?
AAOS is truly an organization that fosters the growth of their members. The AAOS has shown its commitment to adapt to put the interests of orthopaedic surgeons and their patients first.
What advice would you give to new members of AAOS?
