Christopher P. Dale, MD, FAAOS
Orthopaedic Surgeon
Reedsburg Medical Center
Reedsburg, WI
Why did you join AAOS?
I have been a member since residency thru fellowship and practice for the past 17 years. I am in a solo hospital employed practice.
How do you define success?
I define success as helping patients one at a time. Any life or circumstance I can improve or have a positive impact is a success. I work to inspire colleagues around me to offer excellence in care and service and be a role model in the community. First and foremost success is achieving work life balance.
Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My biggest inspiration is my wife. Orthopaedics is much more than surgery.
How has the AAOS helped you throughout your career?
AAOS has helped to motivate me to learn and adapt to the changing healthcare environment. Also, attending Annual Meetings to make new connections in order to visit other surgeons and learn has been the biggest help.
What advice would you give to new members of AAOS?
I would advise new members to strive for excellence every day even in the smallest of details. Having quality positive help affects the success of your practice as much as you do.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?
A fun fact is that I can karoake rap songs very well, especially the Humpty Dance!
