Improving the lives of those around you, including patients, colleagues, friends, and family.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

I am fortunate to have had many mentors, and I have been inspired by A. Hari Reddi, Hubert Kim, Cliff Colwell, Tad Vail, and Said Ibrahim among many others. They are excellent teachers and terrific people.

The ability to meet, get to know, and collaborate with colleagues from all over the nation and world.

What advice would you give to new members of AAOS?

Find a way to contribute to the field, whether it is mentorship, community service, research, education, or excellent patient care.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that not many people know?

I had (have?) one of the state records for catch and release cutthroat trout fishing in Utah.
