Membership Dues: 2021 Dues for Associate Member - International Membership is $530.

Membership Cycle: Your AAOS membership runs on the calendar year, January 1 – December 31. Associate Member - International dues for the 2021 membership year is due at the time of application. Association Member - International membership is continuous and will be billed automatically each year in October for the upcoming membership year.

Eligibility Requirements for AAssociate Member - International Membership:

  • The status of this membership is available to those who practice orthopaedic surgery outside of the United States.
  • A member in good standing in one of the national orthopaedic organizations of the country in which you practice or, where no national orthopaedic organizations exists, can provide proof of orthopaedic licensure, as substantiated by the hospital or health care institution in which you practice.
  • Devote your medical practice to orthopaedic surgery or be actively engaged in the teaching of orthopaedic surgery or research related to the musculoskeletal system.
  • Maintain a full, unrestricted and unlimited license to practice medicine (or its equivalent) in the country in which you practice.
  • Comply with the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and policy statements as adopted by the Fellowship and Board of Directors.

Membership Dues: 2021 Dues for Associate Member - International Resident is $265.

Membership Cycle: Your AAOS membership runs the calendar year, January 1 – December 31. Associate Member - International Residentmembership is held for a 5-year maximum following residency. Membership dues are automatically billed every October for the upcoming membership cycle.

Eligibility Requirements for Associate Member - International Resident:

  • Is a physician residing outside of the United States or Canada who has commenced the study of orthopaedics; has the intention of applying for Associate Member- International
  • Enrolled in an orthopaedic residency program recognized by the national orthopaedic organization of the country in which the residency program is located, or who has successfully completed such an orthopaedic residency and is in a non-U.S. or Canadian fellowship program
  • Comply with the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and policy statements as adopted by the Fellowship and Board of Directors.
