The heart of any association is its membership and the volunteers who give their time for the betterment of their profession. The AAOS is no different, and we're pleased that every year more than 2,000 of our members donate their time and skills in various capacities ranging from volunteering for a committee or council position or presenting cutting-edge education at our Annual Meeting, in year-round courses, or our journals.
In addition, we have recently launched the AAOS Leadership Institute (ALI) -- a program exclusively for AAOS members that provides training, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help them acquire and enhance the key skills needed to succeed as a volunteer leader at AAOS.
