Goal 1: MEMBERS

  • Wide breadth of personalized education and quality products
  • Strong, diverse membership with pathways from med student through residency and early career to retirement
  • More networking and career opportunities through tools like the ACCELERATE career exploration platform

Goal 2: PATIENTS

  • Advocacy to reduce your burden and increase access for patients through prior authorization, physician-led hospitals, and telehealth
  • Higher quality in the profession through the AAOS Registries Program and products like Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) and the Biologics Dashboard
  • Direct engagement with patients for advocacy and education – they are at the center of everything members do
  • Improving health and health equity for your patients
  • Support members around value-based care, as well as new payment and care-delivery models

  • Bi-directional communication between AAOS and our members through the member app, online, and in person
  • Modernized governance that allows AAOS leadership to be agile in responding to opportunities
  • Streamlined bylaws that enable a well-informed, high-performing Board and responsive and efficient volunteers
  • Broad, inclusive pathways to volunteer leadership through programs like the AAOS Leadership Institute

  • Partnerships inside and outside of orthopaedics to bring you the best education and powerful advocacy
  • Partnerships with specialty, state, and international societies to ensure powerful clinical education and advocacy, including the OrthoPAC
  • Collaboration with clinicians and organizations to raise the level of MSK care for patients
  • Partnerships with PCPs, cardiology, industry partners, and more to innovate in MSK care beyond your office or operating room
  • Focus across care touchpoints to support you and your patients through their care journey
