This free webinar will be presented by members of the International Orthopaedic Diversity Alliance (IODA) to raise awareness of the need for diversity, inclusion, and equity in orthopaedic surgery around the world. The unique challenges in different regions related to gender and other underrepresented groups will be explored.
Learning Objectives
- Increase awareness of the challenges faced by underrepresented groups in orthopaedic surgery (including women, people of color, and those in the LGBTQ+ community).
- Challenge the audience to improve DEI by serving as allies, especially if they are members of the majority culture.
- Learn about opportunities and next steps to create culture change in orthopaedic surgery.
