Advocacy Accomplishments

Each year, the AAOS Office of Government Relations (OGR) works hard to ensure that physician priorities – including prior authorization reform, payment policy issues, and physician burden relief – are heard and advanced.

In addition, OGR's regulatory efforts ensure that orthopaedic concerns are addressed even after the conclusion of the legislative process and throughout agency rulemaking and implementation stages.

State orthopaedic societies also play an essential role in advocating for patient access to prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
