Edward M. Wojtys, MD, and James A. Ashton-Miller, PhD, Receive Kappa Delta Lanier Award
As a former linebacker for the University of Michigan football team, Edward M. Wojtys, MD, was drawn to the challenge of understanding and preventing knee injuries. For work spanning three decades of research into the neuromuscular function of the knee, mechanisms of ACL injury, and in vivo efforts to develop a cell-engineered anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) replacement, Dr. Wojtys and James A. Ashton-Miller, PhD, are the recipients of the 2016 Kappa Delta Elizabeth Winston Lanier Award.

Time—and Change—Marches On
In January, smelling change in the air, I attempted to make some predictions for evolving hot topics for AAOS Now in 2016. This focus on change continues with this, our March issue. For starters, the AAOS office of government relations in Washington, D.C., provides an excellent overview of the evolution of the Meaningful Use program. (See "Meaningful Use Update."

Promote Bone and Joint Health, Your Practice, and Orthopaedics
The Academy provides a wide array of tools to help you promote your practice and profession, as well as to communicate with patients and the public about important musculoskeletal health issues. Take advantage of these programs and resources from the AAOS to get the word out about the valuable services you and your fellow orthopaedists provide. "Orange Book" Unveils New Edition
When the AAOS first published Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured in 1971, the textbook—known as the "Orange Book" for its trademark orange cover—set the standard for emergency medical services (EMS) education in the United States. Last month marked the publication of the Eleventh Edition, an updated, reimagined version of the gold-standard EMS training text, accompanied by a suite of interactive digital resources and other study tools. Pediatric Orthopaedics Goes Global
The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) Committee on Children's Orthopaedics in Underserved Regions (COUR) Scholars Program was created in 2007 to provide educational opportunities for pediatric orthopaedic surgeons working in resource-challenged environments worldwide.
