At this year’s National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference, I had the opportunity to participate in a Satellite Media Tour (SMT). For those unfamiliar with SMTs, they are opportunities for TV and radio hosts across the country to connect via satellite with a production studio to interview a topic expert. My SMT took place at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

View Award-winning Residency Program Projects
Winners of the 2014–2015 OMeGA Core Competency Innovation (CCI) grants displayed posters at the recent Council of Residency Directors (CORD) meeting. CCI grants support a residency program’s efforts to effectively teach the six ACGME core competencies relevant to orthopaedic graduate medical education. Intended to encourage a program’s creativity and innovative thinking, CCI grants (up to $20,000) support an enhanced educational experience and the formation of original projects.
