The presidential guest speaker for the 2015 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas will be Benjamin S. Carson Sr, MD, who rose from humble beginnings to become a world-renowned neurosurgeon and a potential presidential candidate. He wears many other hats, including that of motivational speaker, philanthropist, New York Times best-selling author, and FOX News commentator.

Confessions of an Orthopaedic Surgeon
I recently ran across a concept that I hadn’t realized before—maybe I’m just a slow learner. It goes something like this: As doctors’ incomes per patient are decreased by insurance payers, both commercial and government, doctors’ incomes will stay the same because doctors will see more patients per day. To do that, doctors will decrease the amount of time each patient will be seen.
