The AAOS 2008 Annual Meeting will be held March 5-9, 2008, in San Francisco. You can be a part of this important event, which will also honor the Academy’s 75th anniversary. Submit your abstracts online at www.aaos.org/abstractsub The submission deadline for poster exhibits, podium presentations, and scientific exhibits is June 4, 2007. The deadline for submitting multimedia education abstracts is July 15, 2007. To review presentations from the 2007 Annual Meeting, visit www.aaos.
• June 4 Abstract submission date • June-July Approximately 4,000 abstracts are graded by committee members • August Central Program Committee schedules podium presentations; makes final decisions on posters • September AAOS sends out acceptance letters • October Nonexclusive license agreement forms due to AAOS; any revisions to the abstract must be completed • December Final manuscripts (the study in publishable format) are due • March 5-9 Annual Meeting
The Academy offers a wide array of CME courses, home study programs, and SAEs to help you meet MOC requirements. Each year, the AAOS CME Courses Committee presents a complete orthopaedic curriculum of approximately 30 courses. Two courses in November and December are focused on MOC examination preparation. New CME courses for 2007 address “boomeritis,” cartilage restoration of the knee, top orthopaedic controversies, and other pertinent topics.
