Study Finds Favorable Results with Quadriceps Tendon Graft for ACL Reconstruction in Young Patients
A study presented at the virtual Specialty Day held jointly by the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine found that adolescent and young adult patients who had anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and received a soft-tissue quadriceps tendon autograft did as well or better on functional testing six months postoperatively than those who received a bone-tendon-bone graft.
