An Update from the Mobility Caucus Following AMA Interim Meeting
The American Medical Association (AMA) 2019 Interim Meeting, held Nov. 14–16, 2019, was the second of two annual meetings where the AMA House of Delegates (HOD) deliberated policy positions for subsequent advocacy activities. For policy-making bodies, including Congress and other stakeholders, the AMA continues to be seen as the voice of medicine, and continued active participation by AAOS remains important to ensure that the perspectives of orthopaedic surgeons inform AMA’s message.

Price Transparency Garners New Attention from the Administration
President Donald J. Trump announced a proposed rule on price transparency on Nov. 15, 2019, that would require commercial health plans and issuers to provide beneficiaries access to a free website listing cost-sharing information available for medical equipment and services.
