The Orthopaedic Video Theater (OVT) is a standout feature of every AAOS Annual Meeting, showcasing award-winning surgical technique videos from the esteemed OVT Plus collection, along with honorable-mention selections. This prestigious recognition is awarded to select surgeons whose work is recognized by their peers for outstanding quality and content.
This year, the OVT is located in the Exhibit Hall next to OrthoDome®. Attendees can explore the extensive OVT collection, including 147 newly uploaded videos. Dedicated monitors will highlight the 2025 award-winning and honorable-mention videos. The OVT is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
Be sure to stop by at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Innovation Theater (Hall C entrance) to celebrate this year’s OVT Award winners.
How to submit videos
There are two ways to submit videos to be featured in OVT:
- OVT Plus Collection: A rigorous peer-review process ensures high-quality content. Lead authors receive complimentary AAOS Annual Meeting registration, and coauthors enjoy discounted rates. Published videos can be added to CVs, and award-winning abstracts may be submitted to the Journal of the AAOS®. Many OVT Plus videos also offer CME credit.
- OVT Now Collection: A streamlined, expedited review process allows for faster publication. Submitted videos are reviewed by AAOS committee members in the relevant orthopaedic specialty and quickly published, providing viewers with the latest advancements in orthopaedic surgical techniques.

Available to all AAOS members, OVT offers more than 1,700 peer-reviewed, high-quality surgical technique videos from global experts. Most OVT Plus videos include 0.75 CME credits, and the platform also features content on practice management, quality improvement, industry insights, institutional research, Innovation Theater sessions, and more.
