During the AAOS 2025 Annual Meeting, the AAOS Office of Government Relations (OGR) and the Political Action Committee of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgery (OrthoPAC) encourage members to stop by their booth in the Sails Pavillion to learn about advocacy efforts to shape the future of musculoskeletal care. Attendees may come to discuss key healthcare issues confronting the orthopaedic community and pick up an OrthoPAC membership pin.
Visit the booth
The OrthoPAC Donor Lounge will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. It is conveniently located next to the OrthoPAC Booth in Sails Pavillion. Inside the booth, the Donor Lounge offers OrthoPAC members of all contribution levels a place to grab a snack, refresh, and relax during the busy week. Stop by to renew your OrthoPAC membership and discuss exciting plans for the year ahead. Existing 2025 donors and new donors are always welcome.
OGR healthcare policy experts and key AAOS leadership will also be available at the booth to discuss a variety of legislative and regulatory priorities, from reducing prior authorization and administrative burdens to fixing Medicare payment and promoting value-based care. In addition to discussing new initiatives, they will highlight some of AAOS’ recent advocacy “wins” and run through ongoing efforts to represent the viewpoint of the orthopaedic community on the federal, state, and local levels.
OGR encourages members interested in shaping the political landscape to ask about opportunities to get involved with advocacy, such as becoming a Congressional Ambassador or participating in grassroots efforts via the Advocacy Action Center.
Attend the Donor Luncheon
All 2025 OrthoPAC donors are invited to attend the annual donor appreciation luncheon. Guests will hear from American comedian and ophthalmologist Will Flanary, MD, better known as Dr. Glaucomflecken. He will open with a comedy routine and move into how his own personal health scare and experience from the patient perspective led him to the healthcare advocacy space, expressed through comedy.
The OrthoPAC Luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10. RSVP to the event by texting “PACLUNCH” to 41444.
Network at the Resident and Capitol Club Reception
All 2025 resident contributors and Capitol Club members are invited to attend the annual Resident and Capitol Club Reception. Hosted by OrthoPAC and AAOS leadership, this is a great opportunity for residents to network with AAOS leaders and for current and veteran advocacy leaders to engage with residents.
AAOS asks that current Board of Councilors, Board of Specialty Societies, and AAOS leadership be at the OrthoPAC Capitol Club level to attend. Residents can also donate at the door to attend the reception.
The event will be held from 8:30 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12. RSVP to the reception by texting “PACPARTY25” to 41444.
