AAOS 2024 Served Up Education, Innovation, and Collaboration in San Francisco

The AAOS 2024 Annual Meeting in San Francisco was a pivotal event that advanced orthopaedic patient care, offered a comprehensive educational program, and showcased innovation in a live and in-person setting. The meeting theme, “It’s The Experience!” emphasized the unique value of attending the AAOS Annual Meeting in person and experiencing the immersive educational and collaborative atmosphere.

AAOS 2024 featured a robust educational program with diverse learning formats, including lectures, panels, collaborative sessions, and self-directed learning opportunities. The Exhibit Hall served as a hub for innovation, offering attendees the chance to explore cutting-edge solutions and products to enhance patient care. Various events, such as Happy Hour in the Hall and Your Academy, with Presidential Guest Speaker Sanjay Gupta, MD, provided networking opportunities, insights into AAOS leadership initiatives, and valuable perspectives on the future of orthopaedic care.

“We crafted AAOS 2024 to help you take care of your patients better. We wanted to provide the number one educational event in all specialties, in all walks of life, for you to be able to impact practice,” said Annual Committee Meeting Chair Matthew T. Provencher, MD, CAPT MC USNR, MBA, FAAOS. “It’s a beautiful specialty in that we can work with our hands to allow our patients to get back to what they want to do. And this meeting is all about the education to get you there.”

Attendees had access to top-quality information vetted through a peer-review process, ensuring the dissemination of innovative findings and practice techniques. Attendees had the opportunity to earn up to 23 CME hours, with additional sessions available to fulfill Drug Enforcement Administration requirements for opioid education. If you want to catch up on sessions you missed or revisit presentations, most sessions presented in San Francisco are now available 24/7 with AAOS 2024 Annual Meeting OnDemand at aaos.ondemand.org.
