Numerous changes are made each year to the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code set, and those changes have a tremendous impact on reporting services rendered and obtaining appropriate reimbursement. Likewise, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) annual Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System and Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rules contain the new CMS payment policies and conversion factor for the upcoming year.
