The Annual AAOS Resident Bowl is back. All Annual Meeting attendees are welcome to join the audience for this fierce and fun trivia and social event pitting residency programs against each other in a game-style setting.
Residents will compete in teams of four in a quiz-bowl format for a chance at either grand or runner-up prizes. Join the fun from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday in West, Room 3018.
The Resident Bowl will be hosted by John Tokish, MD, FAAOS, and Jaime Lyn Bellamy, DO, FAAOS, and will consist of three rounds. The first two rounds will have 20 questions each, covering a range of topics, including orthopaedics, orthopaedic history, and general non-orthopaedic trivia. Teams will respond via tablet and be scored on both giving the correct answer and the speed at which they answer correctly. The four winners from this year’s Resident Rumble weekly virtual trivia competitions were invited to participate in the Resident Bowl. Will the other residents have what it takes to take on the University of Chicago, who are the reigning Resident Rumble champions?
In the suspenseful final round, the top finalists from the first three rounds will go head to head in a high-intensity matchup to determine the grand-prize winner.
Attend the Resident Bowl to network with your peers, cheer on the residents, and find out how your knowledge stacks up. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided. Gift certificates will be presented to the winners as well as promotions in various AAOS publications.
