The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) developed The Principles of Medical Ethics for the Orthopaedic Surgeon and the Code of Ethics for Orthopaedic Surgeons primarily for the benefit of our patients. They serve as guides for conduct of the physician in the physician-patient relationship.
