Surgical Technique: Medial Quadriceps Tendon-Femoral Ligament Reconstruction With a Gracilis Allograft
Lateral patella instability is common in the pediatric patient population. Current practice aims to reconstruct the medial patellofemoral ligament to restore stability. Anatomic studies have revealed that the medial quadriceps tendon-femoral ligament plays a role in lateral stability. This video outlines the surgical technique for reconstruction of the medial quadriceps tendon-femoral ligament with the use of a double-bundle hamstring allograft.
