Endoscopic Olecranon Bursectomy: Video Technique

Endoscopic olecranon bursectomy is performed to manage recalcitrant olecranon bursitis. It involves two portals inferior and superior to the bursa that are used for visualization and débridement of the diseased bursa. The authors of this video believe this procedure is relevant because, in their experience, it is associated with a decreased risk of bursitis reoccurrence, wound failure, and infection compared with traditional open bursectomy and may be a viable alternative for managing olecranon bursitis in patients in whom nonsurgical treatment fails.
