Indications and Technique: Rotator Cuff Repair Augmentation

Rotator cuff repair augmentation is often considered for patients who suffer large to massive rotator cuff tears or those with concerns for healing (eg, chronic tear, tissue quality). Augmentation can provide mechanical stability, improved biology, or both to improve the likelihood of a successful repair. This video explores indications, diagnoses, operative techniques, and outcomes for rotator cuff repairs augmented with bone marrow aspirate concentrate/platelet-rich plasma, dermal allograft, interpositional allograft, and onlay xenograft/allograft.
