Arthroscopically Assisted Open Reduction and Internal Fixation for an Unstable Osteochondritis Dissecans Lesion
We present a technique video demonstrating the arthroscopically assisted open reduction and internal fixation of an unstable osteochondritis dissecans lesion. We begin with a review of the literature regarding osteochondritis dissecans in general, as well as indications and options for surgical management. We provie a step-by-step demonstration of our technique, making use of both open surgical and arthroscopic video footage with detailed narration. We share the rehabilitation protocol and our patient's follow-up data. Finally, we conclude with some pearls and pitfalls for this technique.
