WALANT is increasingly utilized to perform a variety of hand procedures outside of the main operating room. This lecture will discuss management of simple hand infections in the emergency department instead of the main operating room, summarize the reasons that WALANT flexor tendon repair decreases rupture and tenolysis rates, and plan safer ways to anesthetize trauma patients with multiple medical comorbidities.
