The Unique Role of Microfragmented Adipose Tissue in Orthopaedic Practice
A treatment gap exists for orthopaedic patients in whom nonsurgical treatment fails and who are not yet ready for or are not appropriate candidates for major surgery. These patients are seeking other treatment options. This video demonstrates the harvest and processing of autologous adipose tissue to yield microfragmented adipose tissue, which can be injected in an outpatient clinical setting under local anesthesia. Injection of microfragmented adipose tissue is associated with minimal downtime for patients and allows for the treatment of multiple sites.
