Acute Pectoralis Major Repair via Unicortical Button Fixation
Acute pectoralis major tears typically occur during an eccentric load and occur more frequently in bodybuilders and weightlifters. Surgical repair has been reported to result in good to excellent outcomes in most patients, and several repair techniques, such as transosseous tunnel fixation or suture anchor fixation, have been proposed. This video demonstrates a unicortical button fixation technique that is easy, reliable, strong, and associated with a low rate of complications.
