Arthroscopic and endoscopic techniques for the management of hip pathology have increased drastically in the past decade, enabling surgeons to manage more pathologies arthroscopically. Endoscopic management of abductor tendon tears allows for minimally invasive management; however, large and/or retracted tears may be difficult to repair endoscopically, and an open technique may be more appropriate. This video details open and endoscopic approaches for the management of abductor deficiency with a focus on restoring the anatomy of the hip abductor mechanism to restore function.
